The Brain Show: Be the next game show champion of First Night Hazleton! Audience members can become players in this fun-filled game show.  Three podiums with lights, sounds & buzzers set the stage.  Players answer general knowledge trivia questions & compete for prizes.  Three different age categories – age 10 & under, 10 to 16, and 16 & above – guarantee a fun time for all.

Puzzling Magic and Comedy with a TWIST:  Magician Joseph Young is a multi-award winning entertainer who is quickly emerging as one of the most sought after performers in the nation. Hundred of events have been impacted by his special blend of sleight of hand, clean comedy, and hilarious audience participation. Some of his career highlights include winning the prestigious Magi-Fest First Place Gold Medal of Magic and being honored as the Houdini Rising Star of Magic for his original Rubik's Cube Manipulation Act.  His Rubik Cube Act is much more that a trick, it is an entire nine minute manipulation act where Rubik's Cube disappears, appear, change sizes, and even changes a Rubik's Cube into a live rabbit in the blink of an eye. Lillie Langtry, as portrayed by Lucile L. Falá takes you back through time with dance, music and stories of her colorful life.  She has a vast range vocally and her selections include show tunes, pop, blues, country and light opera.

David Jack is an award-winning children's recording artist who brings originality, upbeat humor and a refreshingly hip musical energy to his con-cert audiences nationwide, David is that rare children's performer who appeals both to kids and to their parents, and with his extraordinary resume, has established himself as the leading voice in the children's music field.  He is probably best known for his eleven consecutive summers as a daily-featured show at Philadelphia's popular Sesame Place theme park. He has been featured twice on NBC's TODAY Show and was invited twice by President and Mrs. Clinton to perform as part of The White House Easter Egg Celebration.

Irish Mist is a three piece group of musicians who perform Celtic music regularly at Irish Pubs, concerts, Celtic festivals, sacred performances, weddings, Christmas and Holiday celebrations (including, of course “St. Patrick’s Day”). The band is based in the Reading, PA area and performs both locally and in the greater Eastern/Central PA and Tri-State regions.  Their repertoire includes traditional songs, pub songs, jigs, reels, and airs; modern contemporary Celtic music; original compositions and favorite crowd-pleasing songs with sing-along sheets for audience participation.  For a full and rewarding Celtic music experience, you can bet your shillelagh that Irish Mist will deliver the goods. And that’s no blarney!

Christopher Dean Band. A regional blues/soul band based out of the Central New Jersey area, working up and down the east coast year round, the Christopher Dean Band’s repertoire includes musical styles from Delta, Chicago and Texas blues to jazz, folk, country, r&b and pop. Having toured worldwide, the Band has also played The Kennedy Center, BB Kings Blues Club (NYC), as well as many other prestigious venues around the country.

Local favorite There & Back Again is a high energy dance rock band with influences that span the entire history of rock music.  Featuring well-known local and regional musicians, There & Back Again boasts a set list so diverse some say it's like putting your iPOD on shuffle. The band's show breaks down musical boundaries and al-lows the crowd to enjoy an eclectic mix of music that they love. Although the music may be varied, what holds it all together is the beat. It is all highly danceable, extremely recognizable popular music. The band's live show contains something for everyone including Classic Rock, 80s Hits, 70s Disco, Country, Modern Rock and everything in between.

Ventriloquist Helen Hammet is a comedy ventriloquist who has been making people laugh with her characters since 1984, Helen has performed at country fairs, festivals, First Night celebrations, schools, churches and more!  Her animal puppets and hand-carved, basswood figures appeal to the young and the young at heart alike.

Singer/songwriter Kenton Kovich has been entertaining audiences with his unique brand of “contemporary-folk” music for more than 25 years.  He has performed extensively throughout the US and Eng-land.  Kenton is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston and writes all the songs he sings.  With his warm lyrical voice and exceptional guitar ability, Kenton is an original…a true artist, painting portraits and landscapes with words and music.

Former aerospace engineer Mark Matusof is fast be-coming a favorite entertainer across North America from Las Vegas to the Bahamas. His comedy is clever, thoughtful, and most importantly, hilarious!  Based in Washington DC, he has been described in the press as: "funny without being vulgar or nasty" and "going the smarter, hipper direction to the joke".  His material ranges from his immigrant family to the aggravations of modern life, current events and the fragility of the male ego with a little mandolin music tossed in just for fun.

Twelve Twenty-Four: Northeast PA’s own resounding recreation of the great Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Twelve Twenty-Four has been performing together for over five years.  The 15-member band combines a medley of Christmas classics with more modern songs. They also blend instruments such as guitar, keyboards, drums, violins and cellos.  The show takes traditional Christmas melodies and combines them with the power of rock and classical music. Also added into the mix is a dazzling stage show and a feel-good, holiday-themed storyline.  The Twelve-Twenty Four show features moving lights and snow machines.  Recent additions include a laser and a string section.

The mid-Atlantic’s most beloved Middle Eastern Dance Ensemble, Abzahrah’s dazzling performances exhibit modern, traditional, and folkloric Middle Eastern music and dance with flowing veils, rhythmic finger cymbals, shimmering canes, and sparkling candles.  Abzahrah’s beautiful and exciting performances are full of expression and always mysterious, enchanting, delicate, fast-paced and energetic.   They include in their repertoire the cultural dance traditions of Central Asia, North Africa, the Middle East, Turkey and Spain.  Drawing from their expansive repertoire, the ensemble presents colorful and exciting choreographies.  Each performance features original and authentic traditional costumes and props, resulting in an increased awareness of the value of Middle Eastern culture and the centuries old tradition of Middle Eastern music and dance.
